Rendezvous 2013 (Update)

By all accounts, Rendezvous 2013 was a tremendous success.


To assist with the planning of this event, all guests are asked to register by July 8th. Guests are asked to bring along a salad or a dessert. The choice can discussed when registering.

You can register by calling Ernie 519-822-9193.

Although no official Rendezvous activities are planned for the Friday, the scuttlebutt is that some people plan on congregating at the "Landing Restaurant" at about 19:00 hours.

A schedule (weather dependent) has been prepared for the weekend;

Saturday, July 13

08:00 hrs - Coffee

09:00 hrs - 10:00 hrs - Breakfast (Inglehouse)

10:30 - Skipper's Meeting (West Shelter)

Weather permitting, an on the water event is planned. Alternate plans being considered include; a wine tour, a visit to the Welland Canal, ...............

17:00 - Commander's Punch

18:00 - 19:00 - Grill your own steak (Steaks will ordered for all guests provided you have registered by July 8. Otherwise, you will need to bring your own.)

Sunday, July 14

08:30 hrs - Coffee

09:30 hrs - Breakfast (Inglehouse)

Fifty Point Marina, Lake Ontario

Fifty Point Marina is located within the Fifty Point Conservation Area on the South side of Lake Ontario, approximately 8 nautical miles East of the Burlington Skyway.

Arriving by Boat

If you plan on arriving by boat, you will need to reserve a slip. To reserve, please contact:

For marina layout, please go to: Fifty Point Marina. Members of yacht clubs normally qualify for reciprocals.

Arriving by RV/Camper

If you plan on arriving by RV/Camper, you will need to reserve a site. Campsites are also available for those wishing to tent.

Arriving by Car

If you plan on arriving by car, there are numerous motels in the area. There is a motel at the nearby Fifth Wheel Truck Stop that is reasonably priced and has been recommended by some of our members. The Fifth Wheel Truck Stop is located at 398 North Service Road in Grimsby. From the QEW, take exit 74 (Casablanca Blvd.)
